La Cabana in Redding

My kids and I we're in town for the first time searching for a dine-in Mexican restaurant. The service and food were excellent! Our waitress made us feel like family. She came over and we talked about our trip and the area. We will definitely be back!

This place has absolutely amazing Mexican food I ordered Nachoes which were the best Nacho's I've ever had the cheese is freshly grated and the guacamole was homemade too, i could go on and on but the authenticity of the food and the portions for the price are amazing, We'll be returning here again for sure!

One of the best carne asada burritos we have had as former Texans living in Seattle. We went for a Pacific Coast Highway road trip and came back through Redding. One of the best meals we had in a span of three states. Awesome service and staff combine to make this five stars! Highly recommend.

We had a family birthday dinner for my mother who just turned 95. The food was exceptional, as was the service. This family owned and run restaurant is consistently excellent. I enjoy trying different items from the menu on each visit. Tonight it was the flan. Yum, yum!

No air conditioning, Guacamole was not fresh. Chicken tacos were good but environment and guac are important. Still good but not impressed.

Lacks flavor and attention. Highly disappointed after reading high star reviews.

La Cabaña has extremely fast service and nice workers. It gets 4 stars though because the food quality was not up to my expectations, but it was made up for in how at home they make their customers feel.

A very typical Mexican/American diner. Lots of dishes with different combinations of rice, beans, cheese, corn and flour. I had the Beef Chimichangas plate and it was just okay, not as crispy as I would like. The service was efficient but impersonal. I doubt that I will go back.

We have been coming to La Cabana for over 20 years. We always love their high-quality food served very quickly. We also love the family atmosphere and great service. Thank you guys for being a part of us!

My family and I have been coming here for over 8 years. The food is better than any other Mexican restaurant in town. Never had a bad experience. Staff is bilingual, very helpful, and very accommodating. Love it!

Lovely family, good food, friendly service.

Tacos were average. I ordered pastor and carnitas, both were a bit dry. The guac was not even close to being fresh, which is always disappointing at a Mexican restaurant.

Wish I had of taken a picture. Driving across Country, I found this Gem in Redding,California. Happy Anniversary to all that work there. The Tamales I had ordered were the best I have ever had.

There is not another Mexican restaurant in the North State that even comes close to La Cabana! They have AUTHENTIC food! Delicious and fresh! The staff and service are AMAZING!!

This is the best Mexican restaurant, and one of the best overall restaurants, in Redding. I can't recommend this place enough! The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious! And now they have a rewards program! Great food at a great price.

My wife and I and now sometimes my daughter as well have been eating here for over 15 years and in all that time not once have I ever gotten a bad meal they are not a franchise they are family owned and they give you the courtesy respect and good service that can only come from a family-owned restaurant I would highly recommend La Cabana Mexican restaurant to anybody regardless of your ethnicity they are right on the money and the chimichangas loudest and steak fajitas are absolutely incredible my next stop there I'm going to try their menudo and see if it truly does have Pigs feet in it

Not fancy, but good and convenient. We enjoyed tacos and a taco salad.The wine-- not quite like the Bay Area, but I know I wasn't in wine country. I recommend this Mexican place. :)

This is a local family owned and operated establishment. My friends and I have been going to lunch here for years. Every dish is delicious. The Salsa is home made. Today we had an office Christmas party. I ordered several trays of Enchiladas with beans and rice. DELICIOUS and a big hit at the party. I also have to add that I walked there because of the downtown parking nightmare, and when one of the owners Elsa discovered that I had to walk back with all the food; she gave me a ride with the food back to the work party. Her kindness and going above and beyond for their customers and community should be recognized. They also helped people after the fires and provided so much food in times of need. This family is amazing and so is their restaurant. Let's keep downtown restaurants like their in business! Thank you Elsa and La Cabana ♥️

My wife and I used to come here in high school all the time. First time we ever had fried ice cream was here. I'm partial to La Cabana due to my nostalgia. However, they do have good prices and authentic Mexican food. If I had to judge it based only on the quality of food and price, it is certainly one of the better Mexican restaurants around here.

I came here expecting okay, run of the mill stuff. Boy was I wrong. This was amazing food. The salsa was tasty, the beef enchiladas were fantastic! The red sauce was so full of flavor and the meat was certainly not an afterthought. There where even peppers in the meat! And the tamales! This has really ruined me on my local Mexican spots, you all in Redding are lucky.

Had Tostadas with veggies, it wasn't bad but a bit bland.

This place is great. They have a outstanding staff and great service. I got to say it one of the best restaurants i been to in Redding. The food quality is great don’t taste poor they really put time in making it right. Great job

Haven't been here since moving back to the area 3 years ago, but I went here when I was in high school all the time. One of my friends has a love of menudo and this is the only place he'll go. So glad he introduced me though because I've never had a bad meal here. Not even close. Same goes for interactions with employees always had great customer service. Come to think of it, I believe I just talked myself into lunch tomorrow lol

Love this place, on the way back from camping at Lake Lewisville stopped here and had lunch. This was my second time eating here so far the food has been consistently great.

Wow! I just stopped by and had a late lunch! I’ve never stopped in Redding before so I wasn’t really expecting anything but I just find this great Mexican Restaurant!!! I was really hungry and I ordered too much but I couldn’t stop stuffing myself!! Wow! Every thing had true flavor and also comforting feel to it. I wish this restaurant moved to my neighborhood!!! Real ingredients with honesty. Oh ask for their hot sauce! It’s home made and has really great flavor!!!

Stopped here after a backpacking trip for lunch and ordered guac, a bowl of menudo, and a burrito.Positives: the staff was very nice, they took the COVID distancing and sanitation seriously, the salsa was good, and the place was cleanCons: none of the three dishes were particularly flavorful*, I had to ask a second time for water, I struggled to flag the staff for the bill, and for what we got the food was definitely overpriced.

Excellent service and food. It is family owned. Very friendly. So nice to see them, they make you feel like family.
